In January 1975, Len and Maria Franco opened their first retail store, Prestige Tiles, with their son Gino just four months old at the time. By 1979, they ventured into wholesale, moving operations into warehousing facilities and developing a national distribution network under Prestige Tiles.
In 1984, they launched the Tile Craft franchising network, changing the retail tile experience by offering clients full bathroom, kitchen, and outdoor concepts rather than simple tile samples, simplifying the decision making process.
Facing market challenges, Len reassessed the industry and introduced the TFO model, focusing on high-volume sales with low profit margins. This client first approach provided an extensive variety of quality tiles at unbeatable prices.
Today, TFO is a family driven enterprise with Gino, Annalee and Marcella joining Len and Maria as directors, and the third generation gaining experience during school holidays.
